The world is full of talented people who travel. And hotels, venues, and restaurants that would give anything for a week with the right photographer, chef, or musician. Until now, no one had connected them elegantly.
The problem we saw
Talented people travel constantly. A trained chef leaving a Michelin-starred kitchen to spend three months in Southeast Asia. A photographer between projects, flying into Bali for a month. A DJ who has been playing across Europe and wants to spend a season in Bangkok.
These people have extraordinary skills. They also have extraordinary expenses — and a hospitality industry that perpetually needs exactly what they offer.
Meanwhile, boutique hotels are turning away influencer packages that feel manufactured. Restaurants want someone who actually elevates the room. The demand was always there. What was missing was an elegant, trusted place to make the connection.
What we built
Stay4Skill is a premium travel talent exchange platform. The mechanic is simple: traveling talent exchanges their skill for hospitality — nights, meals, city access, or exposure. No money moves. Just value for value.
Both sides create profiles. Both sides signal interest independently. Only when there is a mutual match do we connect them. No cold pitches. No unsolicited messages. No awkward negotiation with someone who was never interested.
The sub-brand is Fly & Shine — because the best version of travel is when you show up, do what you do, and leave the place better than you found it.
Why barter
Barter is one of the oldest forms of exchange. A skilled chef and a room to sleep in have always had compatible value — it just took the right platform to make the trade visible, trusted, and easy to act on.
There is something right about a transaction that does not involve money. Both parties are choosing each other for what they bring, not what they can pay. That changes the quality of the collaboration. It changes the story.
The mechanic scales. Every city a talent travels to is a potential exchange. Every venue that makes one successful booking becomes a repeat user. The network grows every time a deal happens.

Stay4Skill was not built from a whiteboard. It was built from 15 years of frustration.
Running F&B operations at The Peninsula Bangkok, Sofitel Macau Ponte 16, and SO Sofitel Bangkok meant booking guest chefs, mixologists, performers, and content creators constantly. Michelin-starred dinner events. Rooftop DJ nights. Private chef experiences for high-profile corporate guests. The demand was always there — and so was the problem. Finding the right traveling talent, at the right moment, in the right city was broken. Expensive. Slow. Agency-dependent.
In Bangkok, Falko co-founded GrabCasual — a tech platform connecting hospitality venues with freelance professionals. The model worked. The insight was confirmed: venues don't need agencies. They need the right person, at the right time, already in their city.
